Learn how you can earn some extra cash from drop shipping

What is drop shipping? Drop shipping is a way to sell online with no initial money. In short, this is how it goes:

1. The seller lists products from a store

2. The customer buys one of the products that the seller listed and pays for it

3. The seller receives payment for the product and places an order with the store he listed the products from

4. When placing the order with the store, the seller puts the customer’s address in for the order

5. The item is shipped from the store directly to the customer. The store puts the seller’s address in for the return address. So it looks like the product comes from the seller’s address and not the actual company’s address

You cannot lose money this way because you, the seller, are receiving the money first, then spending it and paying for the order. Here’s an example: You are a seller and you list a laser pointer from the drop shipping company that costs $20 to buy. But you sell it for $30. A customer purchases the item and you receive payment of $30. Next, you place the order with the drop shipping company, put in the customer’s address, and pay them $20. The drop shipping company then ships out the product with the return address showing your own address. The company gets your address from the payment method you used. That is a nice $10 profit. I cannot promise that one can make $10 off of one item, but it is certainly possible because I have done it.

How do you get paid and pay for the products? Paypal is the preferred payment method for most drop shipping companies and sellers.

*Note- in order to have an online payment account like Paypal you need a bank account. This is needed to verify your identity and for a backup payment source if you ever have insufficient funds in the Paypal account.

2. Payment account (Paypal, Google Checkout, or whatever payment method is accepted by the drop shipping store)

3. Your own store to list products on

4. Time (30 mins - 1 hr a day)
